Sean Hickey joined Rose & Kiernan in 2001, and brings over 20 years of insurance industry experience, having served in key underwriting and leadership roles within the commercial and risk management practice groups of several of the nation’s largest insurers. Sean has also been instrumental in the formation and successful development of several national purchasing groups.

Today, Sean manages R&K’s Marketing, Claims & Risk Management practices, as well as our insurance carrier relations. Sean is an expert in the area of alternative risk products, and provides significant guidance to our clients, producers and client managers in the areas of mergers, acquisitions, environmental divestitures, risk collateralization, risk consulting, actuarial assessment, RFP management, and program structure development. 

Sean is a graduate of Washington & Lee University and holds a number of leading industry professional designations. He is a member of the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters Society (CPCU Society), the Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS), the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management (ASHRM), and serves as a Director of the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of New York (IIABNY). Sean also serves on the advisory boards of several national and regional insurance companies.
