Sean Hickey joined Rose & Kiernan in 2001, bringing over 20 years of insurance industry experience, serving in key underwriting and leadership roles within the commercial and risk management practice groups of several of the nation’s largest insurers. Sean has also been instrumental in the formation and successful development of several national purchasing groups.

Today, Sean manages R&K’s Marketing, Claims & Risk Management practices, as well as our insurance carrier relations. Sean is an expert in the area of alternative risk products, and provides significant guidance to our producers and client managers in the areas of mergers, acquisitions, environmental divestitures, risk collateralization, actuarial assessment, and program structure development. 

Sean is a graduate of Washington & Lee University. He is a member of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS), the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management (ASHRM), a Director of the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of New York (IIABNY), and a trustee of the Hyde Museum.  Sean also serves on the advisory boards of several national and regional insurance companies.
