Charlie Daniels began his insurance career in 1984 with the Daniels Insurance Agency of New York, Inc.,  which merged its stock with Rose & Kiernan in 2004.  The merger resulted in Rose & Kiernan ranking among the largest 50 privately held insurance brokers in the United States. 

He is a 1978 graduate from St. Lawrence University and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. Charlie enjoyed success in the industry, and in 1991, he earned his Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter designation. He’s also past Chairman of the Board of the Council of Insurance Agents and Brokers, which represents brokers who write 80% of the commercial insurance in the nation.

Charlie is very active in his hometown. He serves as Board Chair of the Pawling Community Foundation, and on the boards of the Dutchess County Industrial Development Agency, the Dutchess County United Way, The Pawling Chamber of Commerce, The Astor Home for Children, Partners with Putnam County ARC, and the Ryan McElroy Children’s Cancer Foundation. 

Charlie resides with his wife, Lisa, in Pawling, New York, where he oversees Rose & Kiernan’s downstate New York and Connecticut operations.
