Actuarial Services (Cost Projections and Review Process):

Actuarial services are handled in various ways, depending on the complexity of the project. For much of the claim analysis and base projections, we will use our in-house resources, staffed by 4 dedicated underwriters/marketers. For clients who need extensive claim reserve valuation or review of a third party payor, we employ the services of a leading actuarial firm to assist with actuarial calculations critical to your employee benefit plan.

Annual Benefit Review:

Our goal is to help you save money through proper implementation and management of your benefits programs, and to help you attract and retain talent by offering a top-notch benefits package. We evaluate plan performance on an annual basis and identify possible rate changes in forthcoming renewals. This process provides a major opportunity for cost analysis, benefit-design enhancements, and education for your employees. We partner with you as we define and refine your benefit strategy and develop action items within our “Stewardship Plan” to accomplish your benefit initiatives.

Benchmark Surveys & Statistics:

It is critical for you to know if your benefit programs are competitive and at the same time cost effective. Valuable benefit trend statistics and surveys are one of the core pieces of information that we provide to our clients to help support your benefit plan design strategy and decisions. Our benchmarking data, specific to region and industry, provides you a standard to which you can compare your programs.

We will use our years of experience to help you choose an EAP that is best for your organization.

R&K has developed a “proactive” approach to managing our clients’ benefit plans. We have found through experience that it is critical to create a plan and then to work the plan aggressively to achieve the expected outcome. Otherwise, months go by and objectives are missed.

Rose & Kiernan has multiple resources to assist with managing your benefit programs. We use a detailed client profile document to obtain a clear picture of the client’s benefit objectives, preferences, and prior strategies which give us the background we need to begin developing a benefits strategy and a Stewardship Report with you that’s in line with your current and future business plans. This Stewardship Report outlines specific objectives, tasks to be performed and a timetable to track completion.

Voluntary Benefits:

Attracting and retaining quality employees is important to all employers. Studies have shown that the cost of losing and replacing one employee can be as much as 150% of the lost employee’s annual salary. Many companies find that offering an attractive, comprehensive benefit package can provide an advantage in finding and keeping good people. By implementing voluntary (employee-paid) benefit programs, you will help both your recruitment and retention efforts. Our Agency is a leader in the voluntary benefits field, and we are happy to share information with you about this increasingly popular and cost effective benefits strategy.

Wellness and Health Risk Management:

Worksite Wellness: Why should employers consider worksite wellness programs? The leading causes of death and disability are heart disease, stroke, cancer, and respiratory disease. Tobacco use, physical inactivity and poor nutrition are risk factors contributing to these chronic diseases which can be dramatically reduced by practicing healthy lifestyles and participating in preventive services.

Studies show time and money invested in employee health can yield positive results. Healthy employees have fewer healthcare costs, absenteeism, and injuries along with improved productivity, higher satisfaction and retention. The bottom line is a healthier engaged workforce.

Rose & Kiernan has made substantial investments in personnel and expertise which allows us to partner with you to build and customize a worksite wellness program specific to your employees needs. We deliver the strategies for incorporating wellness into your corporate culture.
